She's Got an Eye for the Camera!

Mia is simply a different girl. She is "alive", vibrant, and now starting to demonstrate her own will. For example, she won the nap battle 3-1 this afternoon. Her cute little whimper has found a new courage and her eyes now have light. She is more fun and...more work.

I'm grateful.

This video shows her "reading' the little Deeble photo album that her Mommy packed just for her. It isn't her most active work (for she's nearly crawling out of the room now), but it's my favorite.

Thanks for the plethora of photos! I love the montage from sick day!! I'm so happy to hear she's starting to react more to you, "coming alive" as you said. Keep plugging along, Mr. Mom cause two kids will keep you even busier once you get home!

Mia is beautiful! What a delight to see all the pictures and videos and to read Dan's charming observations about being Mia's dad. I noticed that your site has had 2751 visitors. I think the ladies on staff in Children's ministry account for about 2000 of those visits. We are excited to have Mia in your family and the Heartland family. We look forward to the day that we get to have Mia in Great Beginnings and WE get to watch her play and laugh!
Blessings on all of you! Sara

Of all the impressive pictures and blog updates - Deebs, you would be such a great professional blogger and you obviously are having a ball with it, or maybe it's just Mia - "Gotcha" is still the best. Capturing the moment when a little girl and a joyous new papa encounter one another for the first time. This whole experience is such a beautiful blessing for the 2,500 going on 10,000 readers of Our Journey. Can't wait to meet Mia!
