This is the story of our journey to our daughter, Mia Grace, whom we already love, deeply cherish and long to know.
About you, My Sweet, God whispers, "She is Mine!"
Tonight, I came home from work very sad. A good friend of mine had called in the afternoon to tell me that her 26-year-old son had died last night from cancer. I knew it was coming eventually, but the shock of having someone so young suffer for so long just had filled me with such sadness. Then I started reading Dan's blogs regarding his journey home with Mia.
It's so true: When the Lord closes a door, he opens a window. I know my friend's son is in a better place today. And I know that Mia is in a better place today, too, with her new family. Despite the sadness and pain I was feeling, it melted away seeing the joy of Dan's new experiences with his sweet little daughter. I have a 13-year-old son. He's an exasperating, crazy, incredible joy.
Just wanted you to know all the Deebles are in my prayers!

I love pictures of sleeping babies! Second only to smiling ones...
